Laser Treatments for Redness, Rosacea & Capillaries

While redness, rosacea and capillaries are all very different skin concerns, they do have a few things in common. Appearing flushed can be frustrating and uncomfortable, and all can be particularly difficult to treat with topical skincare.

Details

Many people suffer from looking as though they are embarrassed or like they’ve just done a workout, even while they’re relaxed and at rest. Others experience an increase in the number of spider vessels or burst capillaries throughout the face as they age, especially around the corners of the nose or on their cheeks.

All of these concerns can be improved with our industry leading laser technology, and not only that, but you’ll also receive some noticeable anti-ageing, skin-plumping results as a bonus!

What to Expect

Which lasers do you use, and how does the treatment work?
For this, we use our wonderfully versatile Laser Genesis treatment. Laser Genesis works by applying warming laser energy to the treatment area which is directly absorbed by the dermis. This heat triggers the skin’s natural wound healing process and accelerates the production of collagen and elastin for younger looking, tighter skin. This increase in collagen production works to plump and volumise the skin, while also having a tightening effect on pores.

More importantly, this application of heat also works to reduce redness and veins as the heat causes damage to tiny unnecessary capillaries and spider nevis, which promptly collapse and are filtered out naturally by the body. Thickening of the skin due to collagen growth also means blood vessels will be less visible through the surface.

How many treatments do I need?
You will see visible results from your first treatment with substantial results seen over time. Treatment plans will vary from patient to patient but generally, 3-5 sessions, performed every 4 weeks is required to see optimal results.

I’m booked in for a treatment! Do I need to do anything beforehand?
Great! We look forward to welcoming you to The Skin Lab. Prior to your treatment, we ask that you avoid excessive sun exposure. Please note that some skin types may be advised to prep the skin with topical skincare prior to laser treatment.

What happens during my treatment?
All The Skin Lab skin treatments begin with a comprehensive consultation where you’ll share your medical history, background and treatment goals. Together, we’ll formulate a treatment plan to achieve your objectives, which may include other treatments and skincare.

During your procedure, you will experience a gentle warming sensation as the laser is applied to your skin, which many people describe as relaxing and even like warm rain on the skin.

What can I expect afterwards?
Following your treatment, your skin may appear pink for a few hours post-treatment which can be easily concealed with mineral makeup.
