Accurate assessment of vestibular function

The SYNAPSYS MED4 chair, controlled by SYNAPSYS VNG software, allows precise kinetic testing to assess the function of the vestibular system. By controlling the position of the chair and the amount of energy released to the maze, parameters such as VOR gain, phase, directional preponderance, symmetry and time constants are accurately calculated.

Wide range of kinetic stimulations

The SYNAPSYS MED4 rotary chair offers a wide range of kinetic examinations, either in manual mode or controlled by the SYNAPSYS VNG software. It offers sixteen stimulation waveforms, including sinusoidal, multi-frequency, velocity step and sudden stop tests, to assess different aspects of vestibular function.

Maximum patient comfort and safety

The ergonomic design of the SYNAPSYS MED4 rotary chair ensures patient comfort and safety during testing.
The fully reclining backrest allows the patient to be placed in different positions depending on the type of test, such as 30° for caloric tests or supine position for BPPV treatment manoeuvres.

Seamless integration with the SYNAPSYS VNG module

The SYNAPSYS MED4 chair integrates perfectly with the SYNAPSYS VNG module, creating a complete solution for vestibular assessment. It allows low and medium frequencies to be examined, complementing the tests of the SYNAPSYS VNG module.
