- Model VENDYS-II - Digital Thermal Monitoring System

0

VENDYS-II is the new generation of VENDYS device and has awesome features from interactive touchscreen interface to stepwise audio-guided screens and smart algorithms, all to make the VENDYS experience very easy and user-friendly. VENDYS-II is optimized both for patient care and clinical research studies. It is empowered by a medical-grade android operating system and has built-databases which can connect to clouds. It also provides a trend report which shows how a patient’s VENDYS score or VRI (which stands for Vascular Reactivity Index) changed over time. The following video will introduce you to the components of VENDYS-II.

What is VENDYS?

In simple terms, VENDYS® measures vascular reactivity.

VENDYS® uses a standard arm-cuff vascular reactivity procedure, which includes a temporary occlusion of blood flow in the arm. During the cuff occlusion, the lack of blood flow (ischemia) elicits a microvascular dilative response (opening small vessels). Upon releasing the cuff, blood flow rushes into the forearm and hand, not only restoring baseline flow but also resulting in an overshoot (reactive hyperemia). This overshoot causes shear stress in the larger (conduit) arteries, which stimulates these arteries (macrovessels) to dilate and accommodate the increased blood flow.

VENDYS® monitors, records, and analyzes fingertip temperature during the above cuff occlusion and release procedure. Temperature changes serve as a surrogate marker of blood flow changes that result from vascular reactivity.

How would VENDYS benefit my patients?

Given its pivotal role in the atherogenic process, Vascular Function may be regarded as a gauge of the cumulative effects of risk factors on cardiovascular health. Using Endothelix’s proprietary DTM (Digital Thermal Monitoring) technology, VENDYS is the least expensive and easiest to use, FDA cleared, device that detects endothelial dysfunction – making subclinical CVD detectable and treatable.

With more than 6 years of research trials and dozens of peer reviewed papers and abstracts, VENDYS is now in use in clinics across the US being used as a cutting edge tool for the prevention of adverse CVD outcomes.

VENDYS – A simple to use, non-invasive diagnostic device for early detection and monitoring of cardiovascular disease.

The Vascular Reactivity Index, also referred to as the Adjusted Temperature Recovery (aTR) Index, developed by Endothelix provides a non-invasive “window” to the cardiovascular system allowing the detection, measurement and monitoring of vital patient information such as cardiovascular health.

How does VENDYS work?

The VENDYS® test begins with an automated blood pressure measurement, followed by cuff occlusion of the right arm. During the cuff occlusion (2 to 5 minutes), fingertip temperature in the right hand falls because of the absence of warm circulating blood. Once the cuff is released, blood flow rushes into the forearm and hand, causing a temperature rebound (TR) in the fingertip which is directly proportional to the vascular reactivity
