Zalgiris organization is an organization uniting all companies and trademarks under the structure of Zalgiris Kaunas and Zalgirio Arena. Zalgiris Kaunas basketball and football clubs, Zalgiris Honor Club, Zalgirio Arena and the restaurant Sala set inside it, are all a part of a united organization. Together we have a unified mission, we are guided by the same values and aim for a common strategic goal.

About Us
Before coming to an event in Zalgirio Arena, please get to know the arena regulations, updated on the 19th January, 2022. If you happen to have any remarks please contact us by e-mail info@zalgirioarena.lt.
We’re inviting you to find out more about the arena and all the services provided. We would also like to remind you that doors are opened 1.5-2 hours before the start of the event, and we encourage you to come earlier to get in the right mood for your event!
You will find the SALA restaurant, the SDG amphitheatre, the exhibition area next to it and the VIP room all in the zeroth floor. From there, you can easily get to your seats.
The zeroth floor is also the place you’d find a cloakroom, where you can leave your coat or jacket, while other personal belongings can be safely stored in the safety boxes. The price of service in the cloakroom is 2 Eur, while a safety box can be rented out for 2 Eur.
On the first floor, where the main entrance is located, guests will get to sectors numbered 101-to-136, make their way to Baras 11, Alita bar and numerous spots for snacks. The Audi club with a separate bar, free cloakroom, bathroom and terrace for club members, and the Ramirent Premium club with a lounge zone, separate bar and another cloakroom, are also located on the first floor. Yearly season tickets for Zalgiris Kaunas games are available for these clubs.
The second floor hosts VIP Skyboxes, lodges for events and the Kimbo bar.
On the third floor, you will find access to the 301-to-344 sectors and plenty of snack bars in the halls.

Zalgirio Arena breaks the record for highest attended venue in EuroLeague regular season with an average of 14 737 spectators in each Zalgiris home game.

New LED screens installed in Zalgirio Arena.

Zalgirio Arena surpasses 5 million spectators since its opening.

2017: 11th of January
Zalgirio Arena voted as EuroLeague’s best venue by managers of the clubs.

2016: 31st of May
The three millionth spectator visits Zalgirio Arena.

The largest outdoor LED screen on arena’s facade is installed, acting not only as a title, but an advertising space as well.

2015: 5th of December
Lithuanian band SEL breaks its own record for largest-scale concert in the venue, with 20 517 spectators filling up Zalgirio Arena.

2015: 21st of August
Zalgirio Arena becomes the first BREEAM certified sports arena in the world.

2014: 6th of December
The first concert with a 360 degree stage takes place, as Lithuanian band SEL draws in 20 000 spectators to Zalgirio Arena, making it the venue’s largest event at that time.

The arena marks two million spectators since its opening.

The 70th anniversary of Zalgiris Kaunas was celebrated.

A ceremony calls for the opening of Zalgirio Arena.

The arena receives its name - Kaunas Zalgirio Arena.

The concession contract for the use and utilization of the Kaunas Entertainment and Sports Arena is signed.

2008: 26th of September
Constructions of the arena begin, with a ceremonial capsule buried at the location.

Vetruna becomes the contractor for the construction of the arena.

After long debate, Nemunas Island is chosen as the ground for the venue.

1998
The municipality of Kaunas begins working with architect Eugenijus Miliuna on a plan for a new arena in Kalnieciu park, as the Kaunas Sports Hall was deemed too small in accordance to EuroLeague bylaws. With halted funding for the project, the location was dropped and a search for a new location for the venue began.
